Local Store Growth / Step 2

GA4 Setup

The area for building the ability to measure.

After a site renewal, we often hear: "we cannot tell how much effect it had." GA4 (Google Analytics 4) is a free tool that records who came from where, which pages they viewed, and what actions they took.

Out of the box, however, it does not capture what a store actually needs. You have to design what you want to measure and instrument the right events.

What we work on here

  • Organizing the metrics that should be measured (reservations, inquiries, menu views, etc.)
  • Designing and implementing event tracking
  • Setting up a basic dashboard that the store operator can actually read

What you get here

  • The effect of site renewals and social posts becomes visible as numbers
  • You can see which pages are viewed and where people drop off
  • The data that later visualization and analysis will rely on starts to accumulate

What this area does not cover

  • A dashboard you read regularly (available, if needed, under the Looker area)
  • Concrete data-driven action proposals (available, if needed, under the Data Utilization area)

Stopping at the point where the measurement infrastructure is in place is fine. The GA4 account and configuration are delivered in a form you can hand off to another operator at any time.
